Career Journey

Jayasurya began his acting journey as a mimicry artist and hosted a few Malayalam television series. He made his acting debut in the 1999 film Pathram as a background performer. In 2002, he made his breakthrough as a mute in Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan. Jayasurya was known in the 2000s for his comic parts in films such as Swapnakkoodu (2003), Pulival Kalyanam (2003), and Chathikkatha Chanthu (2004), Chocolate (2007), and Gulumaal (2009). He also appeared in the films Classmates (2006), Arabikkatha (2007), and Kangaroo (2007) as a villain (2007).

Punyalan Agarbattis (2013), Amar Akbar Anthony (2015), Aadu (2015), and Aadu 2 are among his comedic films (2017). Jayasurya made his producer debut in the film Punyalan Agarbattis, and he has also appeared in a few films as a playback vocalist.
