Krutika is a member of “Akansha”, a theatre workshop for street children. She has appeared in several Gujarati plays, including “Shodh Pratishodh”.

The actress went on to shave her head for the television series “Uttaran”, making her the first woman in Indian television history to do so.

Krutika appeared in several major Indian soap operas, including “Ram Milaayi Jodi”, “Uttaran”, and others.

She did a film called ‘Dattak: The adopted” in 2001. Sadly, it did not perform well.

In 2015, she starred as Shanti Devi in the Star Plus serial “Mere Angne Mein”, which became very popular. After a two-year run, the show ended in August 2017.

She was seen in the film called ‘Section 375’ in 2019.

Her debut film ‘Insaaf’ was released in 1987, starring Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, and Suresh Oberoi.

She made her Television Debut with the series ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’ in 1993. It was an Indian sitcom which would air on DD National.

Krutika Desai’s husband Imtiaz Khan was the brother of actor Amjad Khan. The couple has a daughter named Ayesha Khan. Their nephews Seemaab Khan and Shadaab Khan are actors in the industry. Her husband passed away at the age of 77 on 15 March 2020.
