Revathi Menon took birth in a Malayalam family.

Her father was a major in the Indian army whereas her mother is a homemaker. Bindu is her younger sister. She also has a cousin named Geetha Vijayan, an Indian actress who works for Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam cinemas.

If we talk about Revathi Menon’s relationship status, then currently she is unmarried. But, she was the wife of Suresh Chandra Menon. He is an Indian actor, cinematographer as well as a film director. He has directed many Tamil and Malayalam films. They both tied the knot in 1986. But as there were lots of differences coming between them, so they decided to end this marriage. In 2013, Revathi gave divorced him in a family court in Chennai. They also don’t have any children.

She has a daughter but Revathi Menon is her biological mother. She gave birth through the IVF method. Her daughter’s name is Mahee.

Revathi Menon started her career in 1983 by appearing in a Tamil romantic film named ‘Mann Vasanai’. In the same year, she appeared in a Malayalam film named ‘Kattathe Kilikkoodu’. From 1983 to 1986 she was the leading actress in the South industry. In 1993, she worked with her husband in the film named ‘Pudhiya Mugam’. It was a Tamil thriller film. In 1991, she made her Bollywood film debut with the film named ‘Love’. She had appeared in many Bollywood films like Aur Ek Prem Kahani, Dhoop, Dil Jo Bhi Kahey…, 2 States and more.

She is all set for her upcoming film named ‘Major’ in June 2022.

Revathi will also direct a Bollywood comedy-drama movie in 2022. In this movie, ‘Kajol’ will be the lead actress. The film’s name is ‘The Last Hurrah’.

Revathi Menon is also a trained dancer in Bharatanatyam. When she was just 7 years old, she started taking classes in this dance form. She had done many dance performances of Indian classical dance in her school. Her mentors were her mother and Ranganayaki Jayaraman. Due to some personal reasons, she had to give up on her passion i.e. dancing.
