Ritwik Bhowmik is an Indian actor. He is known for web series Office vs. Office (2017) and Bandish Bandits (2020). He has also starred in the many web series of FilterCopy and The Viral Fever. Recently Bhowmik was seen in protagonist role of Amazon Prime’s web series Bandish Bandits. Ritwik originally hails from Bangalore.

Early Life and Family

Ritwik Bhowmik was born on August 29, 1992, to a Bengali Hindu family in Ranaghata, West Bengal. He was raised in Bangalore. He is Rishi and Sumita Bhowmik’s son. His zodiac sign is Virgo.

Ritwik has a younger sister, Priyanka Bhowmik, who is an associate professor at Christ University in Bangalore.

Bhowmik attended Baldwin Boys High School in Bangalore and received a dance certification from the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts in Bangalore. Ritwik then relocated to Mumbai and began acting classes with Anupam Kher’s ‘Actor Prepares.’

Career

Bhowmik’s first performing part was in a theatre play when he was nine years old. He later appeared in almost 20 theatre shows. He was also in the online series FilterCopy Talkies (2018). Later, he appeared in various TVF online programmes and broadcast ads.

He also spent a long period at Shiamak Davar International India as a dancer, choreographer, and trainer. In 2020, Bhowmik had his first break with the Anand Tiwari-directed online series Bandish Bandits. In the show, he played Radhe Rathore alongside Shreya Chaudhry. He has also appeared in many music videos.
