She also completed her graduation in 2005 and began working with Live India in June 2007. Afterward, she worked with the channel until September 2008. In 2008, Rubika moved to the channel News 24 as an anchor and senior correspondent.

She then began reporting and anchoring with Zee News. Then, In August 2018, She resigned from Zee News for various reasons which she did not mention. Afterward, she joined the ABP News Network. When she was working at ABP News, Rubika started hosting the primetime show “Master Stroke.” Then, in April 2019, Liyaquat became one of the few journalists in India to take interview Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
