Career Journey
Vijay started his acting career with the movie Rangappa Hogbitna in 2011. Later, he received recognition after his role in Dasavala as a disabled boy. In 2014, he was also cast in the film Oggarane, in which he starred. Subsequently, as a lead actor in Harivu. His role in Harivu was that of a farmer who travels to Bangalore and struggles to treat his terminally-ill son.
Subsequently, in 2015, he received two awards, the Best Actor Award at the 62nd National Film Awards for his role in Naanu Avanalla…Avalu. His role in the movie was that of a transgender person. In 2018, he acted in the movie Nathicharami as a middle-aged man named Suresh. The role of Suresh was that of a man with a troubled unhappy marriage life. He also appeared in Krishna Tulasi as a visually impaired tourist guide the same year.
Vijay was an unusual actor and lived by his roles. In Aatakkuntu Lekkakkilla, a movie released in 2019, Vijay played a schizophrenia patient who suspects his wife of infidelity.
Death
Vijay was killed in a motorcycle accident while riding a pillion in Bengaluru at 11:45 p.m. (IST) on June 12, 2021. The motorcycle, a Yamaha FZ1, slipped and collided with a lamp post in Bengaluru’s JP Nagar neighborhood. Vijay had significant brain injuries in the collision and underwent surgery at the city’s Apollo hospital. On June 15, Vijay was pronounced dead at 3:34 a.m. (IST). Kidneys, livers, heart valves, and corneas were among the organs donated.

Educational Qualifications
After his parents’ death, Vijay worked for his brother’s education. Along with the part tie job, he also found time to study and pursue engineering at BMS College of Engineering. He was passionate about acting and joined Sanchari theatre later. Later, Vijay began working as a lecturer in a college, teaching computer science to diploma students after graduating. While still performing on stage, he began acting in television soap operas.
