On the World Music Day, Singer Sona Mohapatra came with the news of her intimate and bold documentary ‘Shut Up Sona.’ She declared that Shut Up Sona will be hitting the global screens on Friday, 1st July on ZEE5 Global. This documentary will also be directed by Deepti Gupta and produced by Sona Mohapatra. Some of the scenes are also shot by Deepti herself, one of the few female cinematographers in the industry.

Storyline of Shut up Sona

This documentary also follows the story of the singer as she takes on blatant misogyny on social media. Sona tirelessly fights for equal representation of women in the music industry. In addition, she stands up to all those who try to police her body, her mind, and her creativity. Sona is also a powerful voice that courageously speaks out against sexism, patriarchy, gender policing, and inequality without any fear. This movie also received 3.5/5 stars on Zee5.
