Abhimanyu Singh was born on 20 September 1974. His birthplace is Sonpur, Bihar, India. 

Career

Abhimanyu Singh made his first debut with Aks in 2001. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra also directed this movie. 

He got his first break with the role of Rananjay Singh in Gulaal in 2009, which Anurag Kashyap directed.

He also came in for his role of Bukka Reddy in Ratka Charitra in 2010, which Ram Gopal Varma directed. In his review in Times of India, Nikhat Kazmi compared his performance to Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight (2008), which outshone the lead star.

He also received negative reviews for Oni’s I Am, with Rajeev Masand praising his “brazen, unflinching performance” as a corrupt police officer.

Abhimanyu also worked with Anil Sharma of Gadar fame’s film, playing a CBI officer. He also appeared as the main antagonist opposite Sridevi in Boney Kapoor’s Mom. This movie was also released on 7 July 2017. 

Singh acted in another Telegu film directed by B. Gopal’s Aradugula Bullettu, also starring Gopichand and Nayantara. This movie was also released on 9 June 2017. Afterward, he was also seen in the Tamil film Theeean Adhigaaram Ondru as the main villain. 

Recently, he is also going to appear in the movie Bachchan Pandey.
