Who is Akriti Chopra?
Akriti was born in Haryana town of Gurgaon in the year 1988. Currently she is 35 years old (as of 2023) Chopra attended RK Puram Public School in New Delhi. Akriti Chopra earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2008 from Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi. She is also a chartered accountant, having graduated from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Career
Chopra joined PWC as an article assistant in 2008 after finishing her BCom at Lady Shri Ram College for Women. She remained there until 2011. In 2011, she graduated from “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” as a Chartered Accountant and joined Zomato as Senior Manager, Finance & Operations. In September of the following year, she was elevated to vice president of Finance and Operations.
Later that month, in April 2019, she was named CFO of Zomato. Akriti contributed to the Company’s global expansion and international operations. Chopra joined Zomato as the Head of People Development in October 2020 and was promoted to Co-Founder in June 2021, just before the business went public. Over the last two years, Zomato has also promoted its chief operating officer, Gaurav Gupta, and the CEO of its meal delivery section, Mohit Gupta, to co-founders.
Zomato came with its IPO in 2021 and the value of the ESOPs held by Akriti Chopra has been valued at Rs 149 crore. It is unclear whether she sold the shares. According to sources, she was one of the employees with the highest share value.
