Early life and family of Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar’s original name is Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia. He was born on September 9, 1967. His birthplace is Amritsar, Punjab, India. Moreover, Akshay’s parents are Hari Om Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia. He also belongs to a Punjabi family. Also, his father was an army officer and an accountant with UNICEF. Then he has a sister named Alka Bhatia. Hence, he belonged to a well yo do family. 

Education

Akshay Kumar also completed his schooling at Don Bosco High School, Matunga. Afterward, for higher education, he got enrolled in Guru Nanak Khalsa College. Then he went to Bangkok to learn martial arts and lived in Thailand for several years. He also has earned a black belt in Taekwondo. Afterward, he worked as a chef in a travel agency. He also sold Kundan jewelry. 

Career

Akshay Kumar started his career in the glamour industry through modeling. Then he worked as an assistant for photographer Jayesh Sheth. He also worked as a background dancer in various films. He then worked as a stunt actor and has performed many dangerous stunts in his movies. Akshay also made his first appearance in 1991 as a lead actor in the movie Saugandh. He acted opposite Raakhee in this movie. Then in 1991, he performed in the movie Dancer directed by Kishore Vyas. However, this movie was not a great success. Afterward, he came into the spotlight through the suspense thriller movie Khiladi directed by Abbas Mustan. 

His next movie was the detective film Mr. Bond, based on James Bond, directed by Raj Sippy. Afterward, his last release of 1992 was the movie Deedar. However, it failed to perform well at the box office.

Akshay’s acting skills were well displayed in action films such as Main Khiladi tu Anari (1994; I’m the Expert, You’re the Novice). Here he played a police inspector protecting a star witness. He then portrayed a conflicted policeman in Mohra, one of the most popular Indian films of 1994.

Despite his success in those high-intensity roles, Kumar’s good looks also led him to star in romantic comedies such as Yeh Dillagi (The Game of Love) in 1994. Then he appeared in Sabrina, and Dhadkan in 2000. story of arranged marriage in which Kumar’s character must win over his reluctant bride. He then appeared in Ajnabee (2001).

Afterward, he came with the comedy film Hera pheri in 2000. However, Hera pheri was a remake of the Indian film Ramji Rao Speaking (1989). Later it was popular enough to lead to Phir Hera Pheri in 2006. He also appeared in the movie Garam masala in 2005.

Personal Life

He got engaged to actress Twinkle Khanna twice, daughter of famous actor Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. The couple got married on 17 January 2001. Controversial fashion show: The bold act of unzipping his jeans by his wife Twinkle Khanna at a fashion show sparked controversy. As revealed by Twinkle Khanna on Koffee with Karan, she was later arrested for doing so.  Akshay’s comment on Mallika Dua: The Khiladi of Bollywood made an inappropriate comment on Mallika Dua on “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.” His comment didn’t go down well with many, including Mallika Dua’s father Vinod, who called out the actor and apologized.  Akshay’s citizenship: The controversy revolving around his citizenship has been making headlines for a long time. The actor made headlines after not casting his vote in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections.

• Akshay Kumar was born in Amritsar in a Punjabi family and raised in Old Delhi. Afterward, he shifted to Koliwada in Mumbai.
