Early Life and Education
Alexis was born in December 22, 1993 in Ohio. In 2011, she made her acting debut as Rochelle in the short film Life’s Poison. She appeared as a theatre performer in the comedy-drama-romance film Newly Single in 2017. She attended only private schools for her schooling. She attended Hawken School for high school before continuing her studies in musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon.
She studied the Suzuki technique, mime, and aerial art in 2012 at The Rhodopi International Theatre Collective in Bulgaria. She first relocated to Los Angeles after finishing college before making her current home in New York City. Floyd was a concierge at a posh yoga studio in New York at the time of her audition for the part of Neff. Her mother, a classically trained flutist, is manager of Cleveland Youth Orchestra and her father was a classically trained tenor.

Prior to playing Neff, she largely worked off-Broadway and had a recurring part in Bold Type on Freeform as Tia Clayton. She also performed in music videos and short films, choreographing dances.
When she was cast in the part of Neff in Inventing Anna, her career took off. The narrative is based on the actual events of Anna Sorokin, a Russian-born lady who entered New York society by impersonating German heiress Anna Delvey. Before going for the audition, she prepared extensively.
The way Floyd portrayed Neff was favourably appreciated by the critics. It has been said that her performance was “scene stealer and truly magnetic.” Floyd believed Neff Davis might readily relate to her since they share a Brooklyn neighbourhood. Floyd will be a series regular in the 19th season of the popular ABC television show Grey’s Anatomy, it was revealed on July 19, 2022.
