Anusha Dandekar was born on 9 January 1982. Her birthplace is Khartoum, Sudan, a suburb of Sydney in Australia. She belongs to a Marathi family. However, she is originally from Pune, India. She also has two sisters Shibani Dandekar and Apeksha Dandekar. 

Career

Anusha Dandekar began her career at the age of 19. She moved to Mumbai, Maharastra, to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Then, she appeared as an anchor in House of Style, aired on MTV.

• Then, MTV Teen Diva, 
• MTV News, and 
• MTV Love School.

In 2008, she also won Best VJ at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Awards. Dandekar is also a judge on India’s Next Top Model alongside model and actress Lisa Haydon.

In 2003, he made her acting debut in Bollywood with Mumbai Matinee. Hence, she went on to do Viruddh in 2005. In this movie, she worked alongside Amitabh Bacchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sharmila Tagore, and John Abraham. Her performance in the film won her the Best Debut Award at the Maharastra Times Awards in 2006. She then went on to star in the musical Miss Bollywood. Afterward, she starred in Anthony Kaun Hai? In 2016. 

She then appeared in a Marathi movie in 2016. The name of the film was Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha.

In 2012, Anusha Dandekar made her music debut with Better Than Your Ex.

In 2017 she became a mentor on India’s Next Top Model.

Anusha has worked in several enlightening movies; even when the film failed to break Bollywood records, the actress left her mark on the audience. She has also worked in movies like Mumbai Matinee, Viruddh, Anthony Kaun Hai, Hello, City of Gold, Delhi Belly, etc. Born in Australia, the actress built her career in India.
