Athiya Shetty is one of the talented Indian actress. She is the daughter of action film star Sunil Shetty and interior designer Mana Shetty. She debuted in the romantic action film Hero.

Early Life of Athiya Shetty

Athiya Shetty was born on 5 November 1992 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father, Sunil Shetty, hails from Tulu speaking Tulu Bunt community. While her mother was born to a Punjabi Hindu mother and a Gujarati Muslim father. She has a younger brother also named, Ahan Shetty.

Education

Athiya went to the Cathedral and John Connon School. She was then shifted to American School of Bombay. She moved to New York Film Academy to pursue her graduation in filmmaking & liberal arts.

Athiya actively participated in co-curricular activities during her school days. She played sports like football, basketball and was a part of the swim team.

Bio

Career

Athiya made her acting debut in 2015 with the Bollywood film “Hero”. After that she was featured in the romantic comedy “Mubarakan” with Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. The film was a huge hit. She was appreciated for her acting skills.

She made a dance performance on the song ‘Tere Naal Nachna’ in the film “Nawabzaade”. In the same year, Athiya did the role of ‘Anita’ in the film “Motichoor Chaknachoor” opposite to Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Personal Life

Athiya was rumoured to be in a relationship with Aditya Bhandari. They parted ways in 2018. Shetty was also reported to be dating the Hollywood rapper, Drake.

Currently she is dating cricketer KL Rahul. He made his relationship with actress Athiya official on her 29th birthday. With a post on Instagram, he shared two pictures with her.
