Intro to Bhagyashree

She was born in Pune, Maharashtra, but now resides in Mumbai. She started modelling after graduation and has done a variety of modelling jobs and ads. In 2016, Bhagyashree made her Hindi television debut in the series Siya Ke Ram, in which she played Sapurnakha.

One of her most well-known films is Devon Ka Dev Mahadev, Siya Ke Ram. She made her Marathi debut with the Devyani series. While in college, she appeared in commercial plays such as Vishwagarjana.

Career of Bhagyashree

• Her acting career began in 1987 with the television serial Kachchi Dhoop. It was based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women.
• Amol Palekar, a prominent actor-director, approached her about acting in the series. He offered her the part after the original actress abruptly dropped out.
• She made her cinematic debut alongside Salman Khan in the commercially successful Hindi film Maine Pyaar Kiya in 1989, which is still her most successful and well-known film.
• Following her marriage to Himalaya Dassani, she appeared in three films in 1992 opposite her husband. Those were Peepat’s Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, K.C. Bokadia’s Tyagi, and Mahendra Shah’s Paayal.
• In 1993, she co-starred with Avinash Wadhawan in Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi.
• This was her final Hindi film in the 1990s, after which she appeared in a few Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu films.
• In the Telugu film Yuvaratna Rana, she made her debut (1998). She also starred in episodes of CID and Kabhie Kabhie on television.
• In the mid-2000s, she appeared in Hindi films such as Maa Santoshi Maa (2003), Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), and Red Alert: The War Within (2010).
• After a long absence with the TV series Laut Aao Trisha, she returned to television, which ran on Life OK from 2014 to 2015. 
• She starred in the Kannada film Seetharama Kalyana in 2019.
• With the Telugu version of the 2014 Hindi film 2 States, she is expected to return to Telugu films.
• With the upcoming releases Thalaivi and Radhe Shyam in 2021, she will make a comeback to Hindi films. In Radhe Shyam, she will portray Prabhas’ mother.
