Devoleena was born on 22 August 1990 in Sivasagar, Assam. She completed her Schooling at Godhula Brown Memorial English High School. After that, she shifted to New Delhi to do a course in jewellery designing. She got a job at Gill India Ltd, Mumbai as a ornament designer. But she had more interest in the field of acting, singing and dancing. Devoleena is multitalented girl but she chose to make a career in acting industry.

Career
Devo started her career with a dance reality show. In 2010, she participated in “Dance India Dance season – 2”. She began a career in acting by making her debut in the TV serial “Sawaare sabke Sapne Preeto”. She played the role of “Baani” in that serial. Her acting skills impressed everyone, and she got an offer to play the role of “Gopi”. At that time, Giaa Manek was playing it. Devo replaced Giaa Manek for the role in the serial “Saath Nibhana Saathiya”.
This became a major hit for her. Everyone knew her as “Gopi Bahu”. In 2017, she made her singing debut. Her song name was “Hey Gopal Krishna Karu Aarti Teri”. Devo also appeared in many reality shows like – Box Cricket League, Killer Karaoke and Bigg Boss. Before she became a TV actress she did a number of plays. She appeared in plays like “Anne Frank’s Diary”, “Miri Jiyor” etc. When she was 6 years old she learnt classical music.
Personal Life and Relationships
Devoleena lives with her mother and brother. She lost her father at a very young age. Her father passed away in the year 1997. Her mother’s name is Anima Bhattacharjee. She has a younger brother. His name is Andeep Bhattacharjee. She is a dog lover and owns a pet. Her name is Angel. She loves her dog more than anything.
It is rumoured that she is dating TV actor Vishal Singh. Recently they posted a picture together on Instagram with the caption: “It is official”. Devoleena and Vishal had later clarified that they were not engaged and were only announcing their new collaboration with a music video titled “It’s Official”.
