Divyang Thakkar is an Indian actor, writer, and director. He primarily works in Gujarati films. He made his debut as a director-writer with the Hindi film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ (2022). Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a Hindi-language comedy-drama film written and directed by him.

Divyang Thakkar was born on Saturday, 26 January 1985 (age 37 years; as of 2022) in Mundra, Kutch, Gujarat. He was brought up in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. After pursuing engineering, he did a course in acting at a film, communication, and creative arts institute named Whistling Woods International in Mumbai.

Career

Thakkar started his career as a theatre artist. He has performed in various Gujarati theatre plays. He made his debut in the Industry in 2011. Divyang was featured in a Hindi short film ‘Kalapaani’ in which he played a small role. He debuted in Gujarati industry with the film ‘Kevi Rite Jaish’ (2012) in which he played the role of Harish Bachubhai Patel.

In the same year, he played the role of Aamir Maqvi in the English language Indian film ‘Chanakya Speaks’ (2012). Some of his popular Gujarati films as an actor are ‘Bey Yaar’ (2014), ‘Khaatti Meethi Setting’ (2016), and ‘Chasani’ (2019). He has also worked in the ALTBalaji’s Hindi web series ‘Boygiri’ in which he played the role of Pragnesh Wakharia. The web series is about six friends whose lives are filled with adventures and crazy moments.

In 2022, he made his Bollywood debut as a director-writer with the Hindi film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ starring Ranveer Singh, Shalini Pandey, and Boman Irani. Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a Hindi-language comedy-drama film written and directed by him.
