Career of Gautam Rode
Rode made his television debut in India with the Zee TV show Jahan Pyaar Mile. In the year 2000, he appeared in episodes of Rishtey, Apna Apna Style, and Thriller on television. With the film Annarth, he made his Bollywood debut in 2002. He made his second film, U, Bomsi & Me, in 2005. In 2005, he made his first television appearance in Baa Bahu Aur Baby.
In the same year, he made his acting debut in the show Lucky, in which he played the title role of Lucky.
Television Career
He also appeared in shows like Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag (2006), Betiyaan Apni Yaa Paraaya Dhan (2006), Ssshhhh…Koi Hai (2008), Simplly Sapney (2008), Rubi (2008), Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na (2008). Rode appeared in the film Agyaat in 2009.
In 2010, he appeared in the television shows Mata Ki Chowki, Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora, Crime & Bollywood, Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah, and Aahat in supporting and cameo roles. He appeared as Samvad in the show Mera Naam Karegi Roshan in 2010. In 2011, he debuted as Vineet Saxena in the show Parichay. He appeared in an episode of Teri Meri Love Stories as Tarun in 2012.
In the same year, he and Karan Wahi co-hosted the reality dance show Nach Baliye 5.
In 2013, he starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saraswatichandra as the lead and title character. The show was a watershed moment in his career, bringing him a lot of fame and acclaim. He also co-hosted Nach Baliye 6 with Karan Wahi in 2013.
In 2015, he starred in Maha Kumbh: Ek Rahasaya, Ek Kahani, a new show. He played the character Rudra, a “Garud.” The show was cancelled in April 2015 after failing to impress the audience. In 2015, he joined the show Suryaputra Karn as Karna, the lead character. Rode signed Anant Mahadevan’s Aksar 2 in August 2016.

Rode played Prince Veer in Season 2 of Star Bharat’s mystery thriller show Kaal Bhairav Rahasya. He played Abhijeet in SAB TV’s Bhakarwadi from 2019 to 2020. Rode appeared in the action thriller film State of Siege: Temple Attack, directed by Ken Ghosh and broadcast on Zee5 on July 9, 2021, as Major Samar. Later that year, Rode co-starred with Esha Gupta and Mallika Sherawat in the MX Player original series Nakaab as Pawan Bisht.
