Karan Kundrra is an Indian film and television actor. He is famous for appearing as Arjun Punj in the popular Indian series Kitni Mohobbat Hai. He is very famous for MTV Roadies and MTV Live School. Moreover, he took part in Big Boss 15 (2021) aired on Colors TV.

Early life, education and family of Karan Kundrra

Karan Kundrra was born on 11 October 1984. Hence, his age is 37 years as of 2021. His birthplace is Jalandhar, Punjab. His schooling happened at Mayo College, Ajmer, Rajasthan. He then went to Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, Punjab. Afterward, he pursued an MBA from Florida, USA.

Also, Karan was born in a well-to-do Punjabi family. His father, S. P. Kundra, owns a construction business in Punjab. His mother name Suneeta Kundra is a housewife. Moreover, he has three elder sisters- Poonam Malhotra, Meenu Kundra, and Madhu Kundra.

Relationships/affairs

• Karan met the Indian actress Kritika Kamra during their debut show ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ in 2009. Then the duo started to fall in love with each other. Being in a relationship on both onscreen and offscreen, created great excitement among the fans. Fans started calling themselves “Karnika fans.” However, due to some reasons, the duo broke up.

• In 2015, there were rumors that he got engaged to Aanchal Singh in a private ceremony. Aanchal is a Delhi-based stylist. Afterward, there were rumors that he dated the Mumbai-based model Swati Vasta.

• Later, Karan Kundrra started dating the Indian VJ and model Anusha Dandekar. He met Anusha at an airport and became friends with her. The duo fell in love with each other and started dating. Moreover, they were in a live-in relationship. Anusha even got many hate comments from the ‘Karnika fans’ (Karan and Kritika fans). On 14 February 2020, Karan, along with his ex-girlfriend Anusha, launched their clothing label ‘Man Up! Woman Up!’

Career of Karan Kundrra

Karan started working from a young age. He started his job at an international call center when he was 17 in Jalandhar, Punjab. Then he assisted his father in their construction business. 

While he was doing his International call center in Jalandhar, he sent his photos to the Indian producer Ekta Kapoor. Also, he sent the photos through Facebook.

Ekta liked him and offered him the lead role in the Hindi TV serial ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ (2009). He was also portrayed as Arjun Punj alongside the Indian actress Kritika Kamra. He also played the lead character of Veeru in Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai. This TV show was aired on Sony TV. Afterward, he appeared in a cameo role as a ghost Prince in Aahat aired on Sony TV. In 2010, he also participated in a dance reality show. However, the name of the show was Zara Nachke Dikha aired on Star Plus.

Karan also played the lead role of Arjun Singhania in the sequel of his debut show Kitani Mohabbat Hai Season 2. It was aired on Imagine TV.

• Karan was then seen as a host in Gumrah- End of Innocence aired on Channel V and Star Plus. 
• This was also followed by Gumrah – End Of Innocence Season2 on Channel V. 
• Afterward, he played the role of Karan Kapoor in Teri Meri Love Stories aired on Star Plus.
• Kundra then appeared in V The Serial in 2012 aired on Channel V. 
• He also hosted Gumrah from 2012 to 2014. 

• Karan also appeared as a gang leader in the MTV reality show Roadies. 
• Later he hosted another MTV show Love School alongside Anusha Dandekar.

Films

Karan Kundrra made his Bollywood debut with the horror film ‘Horror Story’ (2013) as Neil. The film failed to do well at the box office.

• In 2016, Karan shared that he added an extra ‘r’ in his surname from Karan Kundra to Karan Kundrra.
• He has also been listed twice in 2018 and 2019 in the Top 100 Indian celebrities by Forbes India. 
• Kundra has walked the ramp in many ace fashion shows. He has also appeared as a judge in a few fashion shows.
• Karan was one of the few guests who were invited to the wedding ceremony of the Indian actress Priyanka Chopra. He attended with (Karan’s ex-girlfriend) Anusha Dandekar in 2018.

• Earlier, he got an offer to play the role of Mr. Bajaj in the Hindi TV serial ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ (2018), but he could not play the role.
• He is also an avid animal lover, and he has a few pet dogs.
• In 2021, during the pornography case of Raj Kundra, Karan was brutally trolled by the netizens as he was mistaken as Raj Kundra because of their same surname. Later, he uploaded a video on his social media account clarifying that the person involved in the case was not him.
