Early life, family and education of Karishma Tanna

Karishma Tanna was born on 21 December 1983. Her birthplace is Mumbai, Maharashtra. She also belongs to a Gujrati family. She also has a younger sister named Grishma Kadam. Moreover, her father, Kartik Tanna, passed away in 2012 after suffering from a prolonged illness. She also graduated from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. She is also extremely close with Jasmin Tanna’s mother. 

Career

Karishma Tanna also began her career with the serial Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

She then continued with Kahi to Milegi, Shararat, Ek LAdki Anjaani Si, Virsara, Adalat, Baal Veer, etc. Afterward, in 2005, she worked in the Bollywood film Dosti: Friends Forever. She also played a lead role in the debut film alongside Bobby Deol and Akshay Kumar. Then, she appeared in multiple other movies, including Grand Masti, Sanju, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, etc.

In 2018, She made her digital debut with ALT Balaji’s web series Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat in the year 2018.

Personal life of Karishma

Karishma Tanna is always in media headlines for her personal life. At first, she dated Upen Patel for two years (2014-2016) and got separated after dating for two years. She was also previously in rumored relationships with Hanif Hilal, Bappi Lahiri, and Rushabh Choksi.

However, in November 2021, Karishma and her rumored boyfriend, real-estate businessman Varun Bangera had, got engaged in the presence of close family members and friends. The couple also got married on the 5th of February 2022.

Controversies

Karishma Tanna was one of the most controversial contestants of ‘Bigg Boss 8’ (2014), as she had many verbal fights with her fellow contestants in the Bigg Boss house. In 2017, she was also supposed to do ‘& TV’ comedy show ‘Comedy Dangal.’ However, she got replaced at the last moment by Surbhi Jyoti due to her tantrums even before the show started.

Afterward, in March 2018, a Delhi-based event manager, Manas Katyal, sent a legal notice to her for cheating, threatening, and blackmailing him, his driver, and not performing at a wedding reception in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Also, for this reason, he had to suffer a loss of ₹ ten lakhs. On the other hand, Karishma also denied such allegations and said that she was cheated, as she was told that the show was in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. However, when she reached there, she came to know that the event was in Haldwani.

• Karishma was born into a middle-class Gujarati family. 

• Since her childhood, she has always been interested in acting. Finally, at 17, she made her acting debut with the superhit TV show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ also as a frivolous girl “Indira.”
• After doing TV for a few years, she also tried her luck in Bollywood. However, she was either rejected for her height or for being a daily soap actress.
• Moreover, her first lead role came up in the Kannada film ‘I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona’ (2011), opposite Prem Kumar.
