She started working as a copywriter for Razorfish in May 2014. She later worked as a Digital Content Head and Content Developer. She joined Times Internet as a Fashion Editor in 2016. She later worked as a writer for iDiva before being promoted to fashion editor. Kusha began producing films for iDiva’s Facebook page.

While filming the videos, she devised the persona “Billi Masi,” which eventually became a major hit and catapulted Kapila into the spotlight. She went on to play a variety of other characters who were highly accepted by the public. Kusha has also collaborated with numerous well-known Bollywood actors, like Abishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor.

In 2022, she appeared in the Netflix Web series Masaba Masaba Season 2. She also appeared in amazon prime comicstaan season 2.
