She made her television debut in Mohe Rang De on Colors TV and thereafter performed as a kid performer in CID, Aahat, Miley Jab Hum Tum, and Jhansi Ki Rani. She portrayed the young Gudiya/Gauri in the 2009 season of Balika Vadhu on Colors TV.
Makwana made her film debut in 2017 with the Telugu film Venkatapuram. Makwana played Natasha in the short film Take 2 in September 2019. Makwana appeared in the Tollywood-Hollywood film Mosagallu in March 2021 alongside Kajal Agarwal, Vishnu Manchu, and Suniel Shetty.
Makwana was chosen to play the female protagonist opposite Aayush Sharma in the film Antim: The Final Truth in December 2020. On November 26, 2021, Antim: The Final Truth was released, to mixed to generally favorable reviews from critics. In 2023, she is seen in the film Tumse Na Ho Payega in the role of Devika. This film will be made available on Disney+ Hotstar. Her upcoming films include “Project Love”.
