Early life and family of Mouni Roy

Mouni Roy was born on 28 September 1985. Hence her age is 36 years (as of 2021). Her birthplace is Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. 

Mouni Roy was born and brought up in a Hindu Bengali family in West Bengal, India. Her grandfather’s name was Shekhar Chandra Roy. He was also a well-known Jatra theatre artist. Also, her father’s name is Anil Roy. He is an office superintendent of the Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad. Her mother, Mukti Roy, is also a theatre artist. She has one younger brother named Mukhar Roy. Moreover, she considers her father as her only role model.

Education

Mouni Roy went to school at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Baburhat, Cooch Behar. She also completed her graduation in English Honors from Miranda House, University of Delhi, New Delhi. Moreover, her parents wanted her to become a journalist. For this reason, she enrolled in a course in Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. However, passionate about acting, she decided to drop out of the system. Later she moved to Mumbai.

Mouni Roy was rumored to be in a relationship with the TV actor Gaurav Chopra. Gaurav was also a Bigg Boss 10 contestant.

Afterward, she was in a relationship with Mohit Raina. Mohit also played the role of “Shiva” in the TV serial “Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev.” Mohit and Mouni were also co-actors. She dated Suraj Nambiar, who is a businessman. Now she is also going to tie knot with Suraj.

Career of Mouni Roy

Mouni Roy started her acting career in 2007. She also began with  “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” as a “Krishna Tulsi.” She also participated and won the first season of “Zara Nachke Dikha” in 2018. Moreover, she won the show along with Karishma Tanna and Jennifer Winget. 

Afterward, she worked in popular TV serials like-

Amit said that she used his wife, Ruby, for her interest and left her midway when she should have had with her. Amit Tandon also consented that he would never see Mouni’s face ever in his life.
