Nikhita was born on 1 October 1991 in Kolkata, West Bengal. Currently, she is 32 years old as of 2023. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. Dobhal did his schooling at La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata in her hometown. After that he took admission in a college to complete his further studies. Nikhita moved to Chennai in 2010 to pursue a dental degree.

Career

Nikhita made her debut after working on her personal studio album and singing in regional films, performing the song “Ladio” from Shankar’s film, I (2015). A. R. Rahman composed the song, which she recorded in four hours after translating it into Hindi. She then recorded Telugu and Hindi versions of the song, gaining critical acclaim for her efforts. In 2015, she also worked on Rahman’s O Kadhal Kanmani and Anirudh’s Thanga Magan.

Aside from singing in movies, she has created a band and has played in Kerala and Kolkata. Gandhi’s band consists of Sajith Sathya, Jerard Felix, Godfrey Immanuel, and Joshua Gopal.
Zee Cine Awards 2018 named her the best female playback vocalist of the year for the title track of Raabta. In the 63rd Filmfare Awards, she was nominated for best playback singer (female) for her song “Ghar” from Jab Harry Met Sejal. In the 3rd Filmfare Awards East, she was nominated for best playback vocalist (female) for her Bengali song “Tomra Ekhono Ki” from Meghnad Badh Rahasya.
