Early life, Education and Family of Parul Gulati

Parul Gulati was born on 6 August 1991. Her birthplace is Rohtak, Haryana. She also belongs to a Punjabi Sikh family. She also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), London. Hence, she is a professionally trained actor. Her parents names are unknown. However, she has a brother named Kapil Gulati. 

Career of Parul Gulati

Parul Gulati has been fond of acting since her childhood. She also started her career with the TV show Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam in 2010. In this show, she played the supporting role of Bittan. Afterward, she began working in Punjabi films and web series. She also appeared in popular web series like-

  • Selection Day, 
  • Illegal, and 
  • The Raikar Case.

Then in 2012, she appeared in Burrraahh, in which she played the role of Rose. The film was quite famous in Punjab and tiny sectors. Critics wrote about Gulati stating, “she makes it to the big screen for the first time, and she makes it big.” 

Afterward, Parul took a year’s break and finished her course at RADA(drama school) in London. She also did some theater in Mumbai. 

In 2014, her second film was released, named Romeo Ranjha. However, this movie was panned by the critics and didn’t work at the box office.

In 2016, she then appeared in director Vinnil Markan’s film Zorawar. Also, she played the role of Jasleen, opposite Yo Yo Honey Singh. The film got mixed reviews from critics. However, the film was considered Singh’s comeback, got a good response at the box office. This movie also became the highest-grossing Punjabi film of the year. She is also next reported to perform in Divine Lovers opposite Irrfan Khan.

Digital and TV appearence

Parul Gulati also made her Television debut with a finite TV Series- 

  • P.O.W.- Bandi Yuddh Ke for Star Plus. Nikhil Advani also directed this show. Also, this show is an official adaption of an Israeli TV series, Hatufim. Here, she plays a Pakistani girl Afreen, who is married to a P.O.W. Critics also appreciated her portrayal of the Pakistani Urdu-speaking girl. Hence, this was a strong character.
  • Then in 2018, she appeared in a web series by Alt Balaji. Also, this series was directed by Ken Ghosh. Here, she is portrayed as the fiery journalist Jannat Mirza. Moreover, she fought almost like a rebel against society’s age-old norms. She is fighting for justice and upholding the dignity of women in the state of Kashmir. This web series is also based on the classic novel Litte Woman by Louisa May Alcott.
  • In 2018, Gulati was starred in a Netflix production web series named Selection Day. This was also based on Aravind Adiga’s Novel of the same name. 
  • She also appeared in Girls Hostel for The Viral Fever Girliyapa. This series also gained popularity amongst youngsters. Also, this video has received high numbers of views and likes on Youtube.
