Pooja Sharma was born on 12 July 1989. She is popularly known for her works on TV shows. Notably, she stands identified more for her ‘Draupadi’ character in Mahabharata. Puja is also an Indian model.  Although, her presence is much seen in Hindu mythological TV shows. After Mahabharata, she came out with her character Mahakali. However, this was for Mahakali-Anth Hi Arambh Hai. Nonetheless, this TV show stood top-rated. Also, this show boosted a lot of attention for Pooja.

Early Life and schooling

Pooja’s birthplace is Delhi. Also, she was born and brought up here. Puja belongs to the Hindu Brahmin family. 

She completed her graduation from the University of Delhi. She prevailed her interest in acting from her childhood. Also, she desired to be an actress in the future since childhood. Pooja also possessed a supportive family. They used to support Pooja for her career decisions. Moreover, she used to participate in college debates and dramas. 

The career journey of Pooja Sharma

Before entering the acting industry, Pooja started as a model. She also participated in the Femina Miss India. However, she was successful in being the 10th finalist. The turning point of her career was Doordarshan and zoom. When Pooja got her first role as an anchor on the zoom channel, she moved to Mumbai. Also, Puja Sharma later assigned for the Doordarshan channel. 

In 2012 she appeared on Teri meri love stories aired on Star Plus. Here, her character is Siya Bhel. After that her next project Ajab Gajab Jamai (2014) stood aired on Big Magic. This is when she got assigned for her role as Lakshmi. After that she got the biggest role in her career as ‘Draupadi’ in Mahabharata. This show gained and is gaining a lot of fame.

After that, she appeared for a brief role in Star Plus. This was for Teri Meri Manmarziyan. Later, Sharma took a break for two years from the acting industry. Soon she appeared as Mahakali on ColoursTV. Although, it was not that much famous as her previous show, Mahabharata. However, my performance was mesmerising.

In 2018, Pooja also performed narration for two serials. This narration appeared on SonyTV. Not only this, Pooja also did voiceover for Starbharat. This was for radhakrishna in 2018.

• Travelling and dancing are the hobbies of Pooja Sharma. She also loves doing yoga and meditation.
• Pooja shared her struggle diaries while she was shooting for Mahabharata. It was informed that it took 2 to 3 hours to get her ready for the shoot. This happened because of the heavy jewellery and her costumes. She also notified that her jewellery weighed 25 kgs or sometimes more.
