Raghubir Yadav is an Indian actor, music composer, singer and set designer. He mainly works in Hindi films. He made his film debut with Massey Sahib (1985), in which he played the lead role.
Personal life
Raghubir was born on 25 June 1957 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.He is 65 years old (as of 2022). Yadav completed his primary schooling from Laxmi Narayan Yadav Higher Secondary School, Jabalpur. Then he took admission in National School of Drama, New Delhi. He has a master degree in Theatres.

Career
Raghubir has performed as an actor and singer in over 70 plays and about 2500 shows, travelling in caravans and living in tents. He acted in about 40 plays in over 2000 shows. He has also contributed to music, sets, costumes and masks.
Yadav started his television career with the TV show “Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne” (1988), playing the lead character “Mungerilal”. Later he played the roles of Haji Nasruddin in the show Mullah Nasruddin. He also played the lead role for BI T.V. in Arjun Pandit.
He is seen in many films in the following decades. Two films that he has acted in have received Academy Award nominations for Best Foreign Language Film (Salaam Bombay! and Lagaan). Raghubir is one of the few Indian actor to have received the Silver Peacock Best Actor Award. He has acted in Firaaq. In 2011, he played the lead role in the film Dear Friend Hitler. Recently, he has done many movies. Movies like Make in India, Ghoomketu, Paglaait, Newton etc featured him.
Yadav has also been featured in many web series. In 2021, he was featured in a Netflix original series named “Ray”. In 2022, he has been seen in three series continuously. His new series Panchayat season 2 is also going to release on 20 May 2022. The web series will be aired on Amazon Prime Video.

Controversies
- On 19 September 2009, the Bandra family court had issued a warrant against Yadav for missing to appear to the court despite summons. He was asked to pay 20,000/month by the lower court, a sum the Bandra family court later brought down to INR 10,000.
- • In June 2010, Yadav was arrested by the police when he was travelling on a train with his girlfriend. After the arrest, he agreed to alimony to his wife.
