Rio Raj belongs to a middle-class Christian family from Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. He is an Indian by nationality and has an immense belief in the Christianity religion.

Career of Rio Raj

Rio Raj started his career after the completion of his graduate course.
He worked in many private companies for a few years before entering the entertainment industry.
In 2011, he made his acting debut with school life drama television serial “Kana Kaanum Kaalangal” as Guna’s friend which premiered on Star Vijay TV channel.
But later he turned into a video jockey with Sun Music and hosted many day-time shows such as Kaloorikalam, Free Ah Vidu and Suda Suda Chennai.
In 2016, he returned to acting in the TV serial “Saravanan Meenatchi Season 3” (2016).
After that, he participated in the dance reality show “Jodi Number One Season 9” (2016) and emerged as 3rd runner-up.
In 2017, he hosted the television game show “Ready Steady Po”.
Since then he anchored many popular shows like Wife Kaila Life, Dancing Superstars, Bigg Boss 2 Fun Unlimited and 90s Kids vs 2k Kids.

Rio Raj made his big-screen debut with the Tamil movie “Sathriyan” (2017) in a supporting role.

In 2019, he worked in the short film” Kadhal Ondru Kanden” as Gautam and the film won Best Short Film Award in Behindwoods Gold Medals 7.
