Personal Life

Rubina was born on 26 August 1987 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. She is 35 years old (as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She completed her primary schooling from Shimla Public School in Shimla. After that, she took admission in St Bede’s College in Shimla to complete her graduation.

Her father’s name is Gopal Dilaik. Her mother’s name is Shakuntla Dilaik. She also has two sisters whose names are Rohini and Naina.

Rubina got married to her long time boyfriend Abhinav Shukla on 21 June 2018 in Shimla. Abhinav is an actor by profession. They both also appeared on the famous reality show Bigg Boss 14 as contestants.

Biography

Career

Rubina always wanted to be an IAS. While preparing for her exams she gave an audition in Chandigarh and got selected. She started her acting career from by playing the role of Radhika Shastri in Zee TV’s Chotti Bahu. After that, she played the role of Simran Gill in the serial “Saas Bina Sasural” in 2012.

Rubina got her major breakthrough in the year 2016 after she got featured in the serial Shakti. From 2016 to 2020, she portrayed the role of Soumya Singh, a transgender woman in Colors TV’s Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Her acting skills was appreciated all ove rthe country. For her amazing performance, she was awarded for Best Personality in Colors’ Golden Petal Awards 2017 and Best Actress in ITA Awards 2017.

In 2020, Rubina along with her husband entered in the fourteenth season of Bigg Boss, as a contestant. She survived in the house for about twenty weeks and came out as the winner of the show. She also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 in 2022. In August 2022, she was seen participating in the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.

Apart from this, Rubina has also been featured in many music videos. Music videos like Bheeg Jaunga, Marjaneya, Tumse Pyaar Hai, Ishq etc featured her. Also, she made her Bollywood debut with the film “Ardh”, which released digitally on the Zee5 on 10 June 2022.
