Sagar Rana was born on November 23 1997, in the Jhajjar District of Haryana, India. He was brutally murdered on May 4 2021, when he was only 24 years old. He grew up with professional wrestling instruction. Sagar Rana completed his secondary education in a local government school in his area. He has been involved in professional wrestling since he was a youngster. With his love of wrestling, he competed in and won junior and senior national championships.

Sagar Rana started practising wrestling techniques at the age of 6. He used to play wrestling at the state level during his school days. Later, he learned Pehelwani wrestling at the Akhada Chattersal Stadium. According to his parents, he was inspired by Sushil Kumar to take up wrestling as his profession.

Information About Death
On 04-05-2021, Sagar Rana, Sushil Kumar (Olympic medalist), Prince Dalal, Ajay Kumar, Sonu, Amit Kumar, and others allegedly fought at the parking lot Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi. Sagar Rana was murdered in that fight.
Sushil Kumar was on the run since his alleged involvement in the murder case. An FIR was launched against Sushil Kumar and his four accomplices on May 5 2021. Later, the Police issued a lookout warrant for Sushil Kumar and Ajay Kumar.
Delhi Police even announced a bounty of 1 lakh for any information about Sushil Kumar and 50,000 for Ajay Kumar.
According to recent events, Delhi Court has extended the judicial custody of wrestler Sushil Kumar till June 25 in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium murder case of former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Dhankar.
