Early life and family of Samir Soni

Samir Soni was born on 29-09-1968 in London, United Kingdom. His father’s name is Raghbir Soni. Also, his mother is a homemaker. He belongs to a Hindu family. Moreover, he has an elder brother. Also, his mother tongue is Punjabi, but they are not used to speaking this language at home. 

Education

Samir Soni completed his High School at St. Xavier’s School, Delhi. Afterward, he graduated in Economics from California, Los Angeles.

Career of Samir Soni

He was well-educated and started as an Investment Banker for the bulge bracket firms on Wall Street in New York. However, he always wanted to be a Bollywood star. Hence, he used to take acting courses near his workplace. Once he had some savings, he moved to INDIA and started his career as a Model. Afterward, he took up auditions and got selected for various opportunities. Now, Samir Soni is one of the Top 200 Hindi Actors.

At First, he was married to model/actress Rajlaxmi Khanvillkar R Roy from 1996 to 1997. Then, he engaged to MTV VJ, model-actress Nasifa Joseph. However, Nasifa died on 29-07-2004. On 24-01-2011, he married actress Neelam Kothari. The couple also has a daughter named Ahana Soni.

Samir Soni started his career with Samandar in 1995, followed by many cameos and supporting roles. In 1996, he also appeared as Ashok Mathur in Doordarshan’s A mouthful of the sky. Afterward, he made his film debut in 1998 with China Gate. Many cameo appearances also followed this debut. 

Samir Soni then appeared in the film Baghban and played lead roles in Basti and Kahan Ho Tum in 2013. Again in 2013, Soni also worked in the television series Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi.

Then in 2004, he worked in Saakshi. Then he appeared as one of the contestants in the reality television show Big Boss in 2010.

Soni was known for playing the lead role in Parichay- Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka in 2013. Moreover, for this show, he earned the

• Samir Soni was born and brought up in London, United Kingdom.
• In 2003, he shared the screen with Amitabh Bacchan as his bad son in Baghbaan. At first, he was not happy with his role as a villain, but as it starred Amitabh Bachchan, he accepted the position. However, the film was a hit.

• He was also jobless for two months after Baghbaan got released. Then he thought that his acting career as a protagonist in films and TV was over. However, he got a role in Jassi Jassi Koi Nahin (2003) as Purab Mehra, which became the turning point of his acting career.
• Then he participated in the TV reality show Bigg Boss 4 in 2010. He stayed in the Bigg Boss house till the 13th week of the show.
• He is also appearing on the web series Mithya directed by Rohit Sippy.
