Sana Khan is a former Indian actress, model and dancer. She has worked mainly in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. Sana started her career with modelling. Later on, she came to the film industry and appeared in movies and advertisements.

Early Life

Sana was born on 21st August 1987 in Mumbai. She was born in a middle-class Muslim family. Her father is a Malayali Muslim from Kannur, Kerala. Her mother, whose name is Saeeda, is from Mumbai. She completed her schooling, and then she came to Mumbai. She decided to try her luck in acting and modelling.

After completing schooling, she tried her luck in acting and modelling. In 2005, she did her debut film “Yehi Hai High Society” in Hindi language and played the role of Sonia. After that, she appeared in an item number of Tamil film “E”. She was also featured in movies like “Silbattam”, “Halla Bol”, “Bombay to Goa” and “Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal”.

She made her debut in the Kannada language in 2011. The film “Kool…Sakkath Hot Manga” in the Kannada language became commercially successful. She received appreciation all over for her excellent acting skills. Also, she played the role of Sandhya in the Tamil movie “Gaganam” and “Panganam”.

Sana Khan also participated in many TV reality shows like Bigg boss, Halla Bol, Fear Factor- Khatron k Khiladi 6 etc. In Bigg boss season 6, she became runner up. Sana also became a contestant in the Cooking reality show “Kitchen Champion 5” along with Parth Samthan. She has also acted in many hit Bollywood films like Jai Ho (2014), Wajah Tum Ho (2016), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) etc.

On 8 October 2020, Khan posted a message on Instagram saying that she was quitting the entertainment industry. The message that now she will “serve humanity and follow the order of her Creator.”

Personal Life and Relationships

Firstly she had an affair with Ismail Khan, who was arrested in an assault case. After breaking up with him, she started dating choreographer Melvin Louis. They first met each other on a random photoshoot. Both liked each other’s company and started seeing each other. They also confirmed their relationship publicly.

Sana and Melvin shared many pictures and their dance videos on social media. Later in 2020, she revealed that her boyfriend, Melvin, cheated on her. She confirmed her breakup with him. After some time, on 21st November 2020, she married a guy named “Mufti Annas”. She got married according to Muslim rituals.
