Early Life and Family

He was born in Chathanoor, Kollam, Kerela. His parents followed Hinduism. His father’s name is Haridasan. His mother’s name was Manka devi.

He did his schooling from St. Joseph’s convert GHSS, Kollam, Kerela. Later, he went to SN College, Kollam, Kerela for his graduation.

In his final year of college, he got interested in music. He has given voice to some great melodies through Music chief Sram and Kalabhavan Mani.

Career of Somadas

Somadas rose to prominence as a contestant on the famous music reality programme ‘Star Singer.’ Following the concert, the singer sang some background vocals for Kalabhavan Mani and music director Sharath. On 5 January 2020, he went on Bigg Boss Malayalam season 2 contestants.

He began his career in 2008 with a music show named ‘Idea Star Singer.’ He then worked as a playback singer for Kalabhavan Mani. Fans were overjoyed to see him appear on the reality programme. Somadas has created beautiful tunes with the help of Kalabhavan Mani and music director Saram. He has performed several theatrical shows at prestigious occasions.

Marriage

Somadas was married to Surya, a lovely lady. It was the year 2005. Somadas was not a celebrity at the time. When success struck him a few years later, he was an entirely different guy. He couldn’t stay away from teen females.

When Surya began to inquire about his extramarital affairs, he became agitated and aggressive. The couple had two children. The marriage, however, could not last. Somadas had kidnapped both of his daughters.

He accused Surya of receiving the money to allow children to remain with him on Bigg Boss 2. Surya delivered a video statement in which he denied any wrongdoing and called him cruel and a pervert.

Death

He was suffering from complications of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). For the treatment, he was admitted to GMC Kollam, Parippally, Kollam. On 31-01-2021, he suffered a heart attack and died in hospital. He was just 42 years old.
