Sonalee Kulkarni was born on 18 May 1988 in Pune. She is 34 years old (as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Aries. She completed her primary schooling at Army School, Kendriya Vidyalaya. After that, she completed her graduation in mass communication and journalism from Fergusson College, Pune. She also has a Masters degree in mass communication from Indira School of Communication.

Her father’s name is Manohar Kulkarni. He is a retired Army doctor. Her mother’s name is Savinder Kulkarni. She also has a younger brother who is the owner of an event company called Fledgers.

In 2021, she got married to Kunal Benodekar on 7 May 2021 in Dubai.

Biography

Career

Sonalee debuted with a Marathi daily soap “Ha Khel Sanchitacha” alongside veteran Marathi actor Vikram Gokhle in 2006. In this serial, she played the role of a Kathak Dancer. In the same year, she did her first Marathi film, Gadhavach lagn. In this film, she performed a dance number called Indra Darbari, Nache Sundari. As a lead actress, her first film was Bakula Namdeo Ghotale in 2007.

After that, she did many movies like Hay Kay Nay Kay, Aaba Zindabad, Chal Gaja Karu Maja, Chal Gammat Karu, Gosht Lagnanatrchi. But her movies did not receive much success at the box office. She received her major breakthrough in the year 2010 after her film Natarang. This film was a huge hit on the box office.

After that, there was no looking back for her. Subsequently, she did many Marathi films. In 2020, she appeared as judge on the show Dancing Queen aired on Zee Marathi. She has also appeared in a comedy show on Zee Marathi “Chala Hawa Yeu Dya”.
