Nagalla was born in a Telugu family in Sathupalli of Khammam district in Telangana Her father’s name is Venkateswara Rao. Her father is a businessman. She along with her family moved to Hyderabad for her studies. Her mother’s name is Vishnu Priya. Ananya completed her B. Tech in Raja Mahendra College of Engineering and worked in Infosys before pursuing a career in the film industry.

Career
While she was working in Infosys, she appeared in a short film named Shaadi. This was a huge breakthrough in her career. She was nominated as Best Actress at the SIIMA Short Film Awards. She later auditioned for a film and got selected fortunately in the 2019 biographical Mallesham co-starring Priyadarshi. Nagalla took a break from her work to prepare for the role.
In 2021, Nagalla appeared in the sci fi drama film Play Back. Everyone who watched the film felt that Nagalla was the stand out among the actors. She was decent but none of the other actors could do justice for their characters. In the same year, she also appeared in the movie “Vakeel Saab”. It is a remake of the Hindi film Pink. Her performance in the movie was remarkable. Nivetha and Ananya in particular internalise and convey the mixed feelings of courage, fear and despair effectively.
