Career

Anup Soni is a graduate of the National School of Drama. Some of his outstanding works include CID: Special Bureau, Crime Patrol, and Balika Vadhu. Hegot opportunity to work in few films such as Fiza (2000), Gangaajal (2003), Dus Kahaniyan (2007), Prassthanam (2019) and Fatteshikast (2019). His 2021 release incldues Raat Baaki Hai.

He featured in TV serials like “Sea Hawks” and “Saaya,” which was aired on Sony TV. In the serial, he appeared as Prakash. Later, he moved into the acting line and appeared in movies.

 In 2002, he appeared in the movie “Kharaashein: Scars From Riots”, “Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe” and in Bollywood movie “Hathyar”. Anup Soni worked in the film “Sheen”.

His debut film is “Fiza” (2000). Anup’s debut television serial is Saaya (1998).

CID was Anup’s biggest success. Though the show is not broadcast during prime time, it still ranks among the highest rated shows in India.

His father is Ramesh Chandra Soni. He was first married to Ritu with whom he had two daughters named Myra and Zoya. Ritu works as an employee for Lintas company. He is currently married to Juhi Babbar and together they have son named Imaan Soni. Juhi Babbar is daughter of actor turned politician Raj Babber.

A source had revealed to the Times of India:

“Ritu ordered for Anup’s itemized mobile bills. Her fears and suspicions came true when she saw the bills, which clearly spelt that Anup was with Juhi over the phone for a large part of the day. Of course, she confronted Juhi. But Juhi told her that she was with Anup only on the phone”.
