Early life, family and career of AP Dhillon

AP Dhillon was born on 10 January 1993. His birthplace is Gurdaspur, Punjab, India. Dhillon also graduated in civil engineering from Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. Afterwards, he pursued a post-graduation degree in business administration and management from Camosun College in British Columbia. AP has since been based in Victoria while working for Run-up Records.

Career

AP Dhillon started his career in 2019 with singles “Fake” and “Faraar”. He also released his single “Deadly” in 2020. This was also produced by Gminxr, entered UK Asian chart published by the Official Charts Company, and peaked at number 11. Moreover, the song of AP entered the top 5 on the UK Punjabi chart. Dhillon next single, “Droptop” with Gurinder Gill, also appeared on UK Asian and UK Punjabi charts.

Afterwards, he collaborated with Gurinder Gill and Manni Sandhu for a single “Majhail” in 2020. This song topped both the UK Asian and Punjabi chart and became their best performance to date. Then, in July 2020, AP Dhillon released his “Excuses” song by Intense. This song peaked at three on UK Asian and topped the UK Punjabi chart. In September 2020, AP came up with “Brown Munde” with Gurinder Gill, Gminxr, and Shinda Kahlon. In Brown Munde, Nav, Sidhu Moose Wala, Money Musik, Anmol Dalwani and Steel Banglez appeared in its music video. Brown Munde also entered the Apple Music chart in Canada.

Moreover, he released his first EP, Not by Chance which contained seven songs, in 2020. Then, In 2021, he and his team performed a live concert for the first time as part of the “Over The Top – The Takeover Tour” in major six cities in India.

Recently, Amazon Prime has also declared that a documentary web series will be released on AP Dhillon soon in 2022.
