Fahadh Faasil completed his schooling at SDV English Medium Higher Secondary School, Alappuzha, Kerala. Then, he took admitted to The Lawrence School in Lovedale, Tamil Nadu as well as to The Choice School, Thrippunithura, Ernakulam, Kerala.

He has completed his graduation in B.Com from Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha, Kerala. He is a dropout from engineering college. He has also completed his post-graduation in M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Miami, Florida, US.

Fahadh Faasil’s father is a filmmaker, producer as well as a screenwriter. His sisters and brother are younger than him. His brother Ismail is also an actor.

If we talk about his married life, then he is married to Nazriya Nazim. She is a South Indian Actress. Although, Fahadh Faasil is 12 years younger than her. They both meet in 2014 during the shooting for the Malayalam film named ‘Bangalore Days’. After that they became friends and as time passes they both fell in love with each other.

So, on 8th February 2014, they both get engaged and in the same year on 21 August 2014, they both tied the knot and married by the Muslim wedding rituals.

His Relationships –

Before marriage, he was in a relationship with Andrea Jeremiah. She is a famous South Indian Actress as well as a singer. But, due to some issues they both part ways.

Career –

As an Actor

In 1992, he debuted with his first south Indian movie named ‘Pappayude Swantham Appoos’ as a child actor with his younger brother Farhaan.

Then, in 2002 he got a chance to appear as a lead actor in a Malayalam film named ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’. In this movie, he played the role of Sachin Madhavan. The interesting fact about this film is that it was produced by his father only. His father faced criticism from the audience as this film doesn’t do well at the box office and turned out to be the biggest flop.

Then he took a break from acting and went US. In 2009, he come back with a Malayalam film named ‘Kerala Cafe’. Then, in 2010 he appeared in four Malayalam films.

In 2011, he came into the limelight with the Malayalam film named ‘Chappa Kurishu’ for his role. He has appeared in many films.

In 2017, he made his Tamil film debut with the movie named ‘Velaikkaran’ playing the role of ‘Aadhi Madhav’.

Controversy –

• He was arrested by the Kerala Police on 25 December 2017, as he presents fake documents of his luxury comfort car named ‘Mercedes Benz E Class’ to evade the takes. As per reports, he had only paid Rs. 1.5 Lakh of tav instead of Rs. 14 Lakh for the car of Rs. 70 Lakhs. He pays a bond of Rs. 50,000 along with two solvent sureties to get bail.

• In 2012, he won the 42nd Kerala State Film Awards for second best actor for the films Chaappa Kurishu and Akam.
• He won the 15th Asianet film awards for Youth Icon of the year for the films Annayum Rasoolum, Amen, Artist, Oru Indian Pranayakadha and North 24 Kaatham, in 2013
• In 2013, he won the 2nd South Indian International movie award for critics’ choice of best actor – Malayalam for the film Diamond Necklace’.
• He won the 60th Filmfare awards South for best actor – Malayalam for the film 22 Female Kottayam, in 2013
• In 2014, he won the 61st Filmfare awards south for best actor – Malayalam for the film north 24 Kaatham.
• He won the 44th Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actor for the films artist and North 24 Kaatham, in 2014
• In 2015, he won the 17th Asianet Film Award for performer of the year for the films Iyobinte Pusthakam, God’s Own Country, Bangalore Days, 1 by Two and Money Ratnam.
• He won the 17th Asianet Film Award for Best Film for the Film Iyobinte Pusthakam, in 2015.
• In 2018, he won the Asianet Film awards for best actor for the film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.
• He won CPC Cine Awards for the best actor as well as International film festival of Kerala for best actor and also the 7th south Indian international movie awards for critics choice best actor – Malayalam and also Vanitha Film awards for best actor for the film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum in 2018.
• In 2020, he won the 50th Kerala State film awards for the best character actor and for best film with popular appeal and aesthetic value for the film Kumbalangi Nights.
