Kriti Sanon was born on 5th December 1988. Her birthplace is New Delhi, India. Her father’s name is Rahul Sanon. Moreover, her father is a chartered accountant, and her mother, Geeta Sanon, is a physics professor at the University of Delhi. She also belongs to a Punjabi family. She completed her schooling at Delhi Public School and RK Puram. Afterward, she did a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. She also has a sister named Kriti Sanon.

Kriti Sanon first entered the glamour industry as a model before becoming an actor. She also walked the ramp at fashion weeks like -Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in 2010, Chennai International Fashion Week in 2012, India International Jewelry Week in 2012, and many more.

Entering into the acting industry

Kriti got a breakthrough role as an actress in 2014 with the Telugu film Nenokkadine as Sameera, also opposite Mahesh Babu. Again in 2014, she got her first Bollywood break with the film Herpanti. Here, she also played the lead role of Dimpy opposite Tiger Shroff. Moreover, this film received positive reviews from the audience. 

Then in 2015, she appeared in the film Dilwale. She was also starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Varun Dhawan. It was also a big commercial hit.

Then she appeared in the romantic comedy Bareli ki Barfi opposite Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkumar Rao. Moreover, this movie portrayed French writer Nicholas Barreau’s novel The Ingredients of Love. 

Afterward, in 2019, Kriti Sanon appeared in the movie Luka Chuppi which was a satire on live-in relationships opposite Kartik Aaryan. Then she also appeared in the film Housefull 4 opposite Akshay Kumar.
