Mohit was born on 3 December 1985. His birthplace is Chandigarh, India. However, details about his family and education is unknown.

Career

Mohit Sehgal started his career in 2007 with the film Delhii Heights. Afterward, he entered the TV industry playing the character of Samrat Shergill with one of the leads opposite Sanaya Irani. Also, this was for the daily soap Miley Jab Hum Tum (2008–2010). This show was also aired on Star One.

He was then roped in as the lead Somendra Singh in Sarojini from 2015–2016 opposite Shiny Doshi.

Sehgal then appeared in Box Cricket League. Moreover, he participated in the dance reality series Nach Baliye with his partner Irani. The duo also became second runners-up.

In July 2017, he also appeared in Love Ka Hai Intezar aired on Star Plus. Moreover, here he was cast as Ayaan Mehta alongside Preetika Rao. Afterward, he took a break for three years. Then Mohit returned to screen with the fifth season of Ekta Kapoor’s famous supernatural TV serial Naagin in 2020. He also appeared as antagonist Jay Mathur alongside Surbhi Chandna and Sharad Malhotra.

Mohit Sehgal won the 2014 Asian Viewers Televisions Awards for Best Supporting Actor for Qubool Hai as Haider Sheikh.
