Prashant Narayanan is an Indian actor. He is famous for his roles in films like Chhal, Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, Bombil and Beatrice and Via Darjeeling.

Personal Life

Prashant was born on 31st March 1969. He was born and raised in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He completed his primary schooling from a local school in his hometown. Prashant did his graduation from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Narayanan was not only passionate about acting but also capable of exploring his versatility in the sports field. He was the state badminton champion. During college he also joined a theater group.

Career

In the year 1991, he moved to Mumbai. He had planned to starts an ad agency. He began his career as assistant art director for films such as “Govind Nihalani’s Rukmavati Ki Haveli,” “Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar,” “Shyam Benegal’s Sardari Begum,” and many more. Later, he also got to work in a television show titled “Chanakya” as a costume director.

Narayanan began acting in plays again and soon got several TV serials such as “Phulwa,” “Saturday Suspense,” “ Parivartan,” “Kabhi Kabhie,” “Farz,” “Gatha,” “ Jaane Kahan Mera Jigar Gaya Ji,” “Shagun” and many more. In the year 2002, he made his debut in Bollywood industry with the Hansal Metha’s film titled “Chhal” as a contract killer working in the Mumbai underworld. After that, his next film was “Waise Bhi Hota Hai Part 2″.

The actor also acted in the movie called “Mr. Singh Mrs. Mehta”, opposite Aruna Shields. He played the character of Ashwin Mehta, an artist and a painter who has an extra-marital relationship with someone’s wife. Occasionally he even painted her naked picture. In the year 2011, he also did the role of Dheeraj Pandey in the film Murder 2, which was a sequel to the 2004 film “Murder.”

Recently, he has been featured in a Netflix original web series “Mai-A mother’s rage” as Jawahar Vyas/Mohandas Vyas (Twin Brother).
