Sonam Bajwa is an Indian television actress and model. She primarily works in Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu industry. She rose to fame with her lead role of ‘Jeeti’ in the Punjabi movie “Punjab 1984”.

Personal Life

Sonam Bajwa was born on 16 August 1989 in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Her zodiac sign is Leo. She is 33 years old (as of 2022). Sonam completed her primary education at Rudrapur’s Jaycees Public School. For further studies, she went to the University of Delhi to pursue her graduation. After completing her graduation, she started working as an air hostess. Sonam always wanted to take up modelling as a career.

Both her parents are teachers. Her mother’s name is Ritu Bajwa. She has a twin brother, Jaideep Bajwa. She is very close to her maternal grandmother. Sonam was rumoured to have been dating the Indian cricketer, KL Rahul.

Career

Sonam moved to Mumbai to participate in Miss Femina India Contest 2012. Then, she became an air hostess and pursued a career in acting.

Sonam started her acting career in 2013. Her debut Punjabi film was “Best of Luck” in which she played the role of Simran. After that, she made her Tamil debut with the film Kappal.

Sonam came into limelight after playing the role of ‘Jeeti’ in the Punjabi film “Punjab 1984”. After that she worked in many Punjabi films. Some of her popular Punjabi films include “Nikka Zaildar,” “Manje Bistre,” “Carry on Jatta 2,” “Guddiyan Patole,” and “Muklawa”.

In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut with the film “Bala”. In the film, she made a special appearance in the song ‘Naah Goriye’.In addition to films, she has also been featured in manu TV commercials of many reputed brands like “Monte Carlo,” “Dish TV,” and “Garnier Fructis”.

Also, in 2021, she hosted a Zee Punjabi show named Dil diyan Gallan. Also, she has been featured in many music videos like Surma and Brown Shortie. On 24 June 2022, her new film named Sher Bagga was released.
