Early Life and Family

Tahira Kashyap was born in a Brahmin Household. Her dad and mom are Yajan Kashyap and Anita Kashyap.

Tahira is married to the famous actor named Ayushmann Khurrana after being in a courtship for 12 years. They both are blessed with two children, a daughter and a son named Varushka (April 21, 2014), and Virajveer (January 2, 2012). The couple tied the knot in 2011.

Career of Tahira Kashyap

Tahira Kashyap is a multi-talented woman. Since, Chandigarh college, she used to be an active member of the theatre group and also the theatre groups outside of her college as well. At the initial stage, Tahira started working at Mithibai College, Mumbai, India as an assistant professor. Later on, she also began to teach at R.D. national college and W.A. science college. Kashyap was a professor in L S Raheja college in Mumbai as well.

Tahira was the programming head at BIG 92.7 FM. In 2011, she made her debut by writing a novel titled “ A Promise… A Story of Love And Deceit. Which was released on March 2 by the Apps Publishers. In 2012, her second book published called “Souled Out”  which was published by Pustak Mahal.

On 15 February 2015, “Cracking the Code: A Journey to Bollywood” co-authored with her husband Ayushmann Khurrana. It was published by Rupa Publications India.

In 2018, Kashyap directed a short film called “ Toffee”. 

Battle with Cancer

In September 2019, she was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer. She posted on her official Instagram sarcastically about her disease. Later on, her husband confirmed the news and let the world know that Tahira is now doing fine.
