Early life, family and education of Vijay Patkar

Vijay Patkar was born on 29th May 1963. His birthplace is Mumbai, Maharastra, India. He also has a brother named Dayal Patkar. Afterwards, he moved ahead to join Siddharth College Union High School. Vijay then joined the Bank of India after completing his studies. During his college days, Vijay was appointed Vice President of ‘Akhil Bharatiya Chitrapat Marathi Mahamandal’. Also, his first performance was in his college drama ‘Majhi Paheli Chori’. 

Career

Vijay also got his first success once director N Chandra provided him with the role of Anil Kapoor’s friend in the movie titled Tezaab. The film was also a big hit at the Indian box office. Vijay has also done loads of his works in Marathi movies, commercial ads, and theatre plays. Patkar is also highly prejudiced by Charlie Chaplin, replicating his TV commercials and other shows.

He was also honoured with the IIFA award for the best model in a television commercial for his act in Cello Tape commercial ad. Vijay has also received Marathi Natya Parishad Award for his remarkable starring role in ‘Halka Fulka Natak’. Recently, he has directed seven movies. His movies also include Ek Unad Diwas, Riwayat and Laavu Ka Laath.
