Early Life and Family
Yash was born at Boovanahalli, a village near Hassan, Karnataka, on January 8, 1986. His mother’s side of the family called him Yashwanth, but his father’s side gave him the name Naveen Kumar Gowda. Naveen was persuaded by individuals in the business to choose a stage name before beginning his acting career. To stand out with a name that was uncommon for a Karnataka actor, he shortened Yashwanth’s name to Yash.
Yash’s father, Arun Kumar, worked as a driver for the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, then the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation, while his mother, Pushpa, was a stay-at-home mom. Nandini, his younger sister, is married to a computer engineer. Yash wanted to be an actor since he was a child, and he competed in theatrical and dance events at his Mysore school. After grade 10, he intended to drop out of school and pursue acting full-time, but his parents insisted that he finish senior high school. Mahajana Education Society was where he completed his pre-university course (PUC) (MES).
His parents succumbed in 2003 and allowed him to go to Bangalore at the age of 16 to work as an assistant director on a film, but he was told he would not be allowed to return if he did. Despite the fact that the project was cancelled after only two days of filming, Yash chose to return to Bangalore. He became a member of the Benaka theatrical troupe, founded by dramatist B. V. Karanth. He was paid 50 Rupees a day for his services as a backstage worker.

Career of Yash
Yash made his acting debut in Jambada Hudugi in 2007. In 2008, he participated in Shashank’s film Moggina Manasu in a supporting role opposite his Nanda Gokula co-star Radhika Pandit. His performance earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. The film is regarded as a career-defining achievement for Yash. After Shashank’s first choice was killed in an accident, he was cast in the part. After that, he played prominent roles in the films Rocky (2008), Kallara Santhe (2009), and Gokula (2010). (2009). Rocky was a box office and critical flop.
In 2018, Yash was featured in K.G.F: Chapter 1, the first installment of Prashanth Neel’s two-part K.G.F series, which was released in Kannada with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
It was the most costly Kannada film at the time, with a budget of $800 million, and it became the highest-grossing Kannada film during its theatrical run. For the part, Yash grew out his beard. K.G.F: Chapter 1 became a pan-Indian success, bringing him national acclaim. With profits of $10 billion, the sequel, K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022), starring Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, became the fourth highest-grossing Indian film ever.

Marriage and Children
The media suspected that Yash had been dating actress Radhika Pandit for a long time, especially after their film, Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari, in which they played the main couple for the third time in films.
Their engagement took place in Goa on August 12, 2016, before they made it public. They married in a private ceremony in Bangalore on December 9, 2016, and Yash had publicly invited everyone from Karnataka to their reception at Bangalore Palace.

They have a son and a daughter. His son’s name is Yatharv, and his Daughter’s name is Ayra. In 2017, Yash and Pandit formed the Yasho Marga Foundation, which represents their contribution to the welfare of society.
