Aparshakti Khurana is an Indian actor, radio jockey, and a TV presenter. He is the younger brother of the Bollywood star Aayushmann Khurrana. He has also co-written and composed a video song “Ik Vaari” along with his brother.

Personal life

Khurana was born on 18 November 1987 in Chandigarh, India. He completed his primary schooling from a local school. After completing his schooling, he received a degree in Law from Chandigarh. During his school days, he wanted to be a cricket commentetor. He was the sports captain of his school and he also captained the Under-19 Haryana Cricket Team.

Aparshakti belongs to a Khatri Hindu Family. His father’s name is P. Khurrana. He is an astrologer and poltician. His mother Poonam Khurrana is a homemaker. He has an elder brother, Ayushmann Khurrana, who is also an actor. Ayushmann is one of India’s highest-paid actors.

He got married to Aakriti Ahuja. She is a financial analyst and consultant by profession. The couple tied the knot on 7 September 2014. They met first time at Shiamak Davar dance classes.Aparshakti and his wife Aakriti became parents to baby Arzoie on August 27, 2021.

Career

Aparshakti started his career as a lawyer. He was not happy with his profession and began to work as a Radio Jockey with “Big FM” in Delhi. Thereafter, he joined the Dramatech theatre group in IIT, Delhi. He made his debut in the industry as a commentator in the “Box Cricket League.” After that, he made his film debut with the Bollywood film “Saat Uchakkey” in which he played the role of Khappe.

Aparshakti has hosted many TV shows. Shows including “You Have Been Warned” (2017), “Super Night with Tubelight” (2017), “Om Shanti Om” (2017) and a web series “Bigg Buzz.”

Aparshakti got many roles after that. He played the role of Omkar in Aamir Khan‘s sports drama Dangal. He has also featured in a few short films like “Khoon Mein Hai” (2017). In addition to hosting and acting, he has also featured in various TV ads like Philips Trimmer and Vanish. He has also been featured in many music videos like Yaaron Sab Dua Karo, Ruka Ruka, Tere do naina etc.

His first lead role was in the comedy film Helmet which premiered on ZEE5. Khurana was starred in Hum Do Hamare Do with Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon. His upcoming film’s name is “Dhokha”. He also loves to sing. His upcoming song name is “Choti Choti Gal” which is very close to his heart.
