Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva, is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language fantasy adventure film. It is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji. Brahmastra is produced under the banners Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, in association with Star Studios. It features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni. This film is the first film in a planned trilogy as part of its own cinematic universe called Astraverse.

Storyline of Brahmastra

The story revolves around Shiv who is a DJ. He emerges as the fire element and holds the power to awaken the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapons that is said to be able to destroy the universe, capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. On the other hand, the forces of the dark are also on a quest to get hold of the Brahmastra.

Release date and availability

The film was originally planned to release on 23 December 2016. But it got delayed due to some issues. Then, it was announced for a 15 August 2019 release. It got delayed many times. But in December 2021, a new release date of 9 September 2022 was announced. Now, it will release in the theatres on 9th September 2022.
