Deepak Kalal was born on 19 October 1972. His birthplace is in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was born into a middle-class Marathi family of Pune. Then, he moved to Los Angeles, USA. His father’s name is Vasant Kalal. Also, his father was an engineer in the Municipal Corporation in Mumbai. His mother’s name is Lolo Kalal. He belongs to a Hindu family. Vrushali Kalal is also Deepak’s sister, who is an actress and a politician. His parents often appear with him in his videos.

Education and Early career

However, he could not pursue his studies after 10th standard due to the financial crisis in his family. Deepak managed to do a course in Hotel Management. Hence he is a hotel receptionist by profession. However, he is well-known for his fan base on social media and keeps his fans entertained with hilarious videos of himself and his family. Apart from India, Deepak is also quite popular in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Career

Deepak attended school till 10th Standard. Afterward, he did a Craftsmanship Course in Cookeryfrom Rizvi College of Hotel Management, Bandra, Mumbai. Then, in 2011, he visited Kashmir for the first time and shot a video in the valley. He then became an internet sensation after posting his videos. Moreover, he is very much vocal about his views on Kashmir. He wants the Kashmir people to be in peace and not in violence. He is also a frequent visitor of the valley and wants to settle down in the Kashmir valley. However, Article 370 prohibits him to do so.

Afterward, Kashmir-based tourist website has made Deepak Kalal the brand ambassador of Kashmir. He was also seen on Colors TV’s reality show ‘India’s Got Talent‘ (IGT) in 2019. He entertained the judges with his humour. Deepak was also approached for one of the most controversial reality shows ‘Bigg Boss.’ However, he declined the offer.

He claims himself to be a travel blogger. He also owns a hotel in Goa.

• Deepak’s father fondly calls him ‘Zeenat Baby.’
• In February 2018, he was assaulted multiple times for insulting Hindu Goddess, supporting Kashmir freedom, and consuming beef. Deepak was also manhandled by a group of students of the Jammu University and was also made to apologize for such videos.
• He was also beaten up by a person named Deepak Nandal in 2019 for posting objectionable videos on the social media.
